BCDC Has Moved Into a New Office Space
Glacier Reporter, June 9, 2005
The Browning Community Development Corporation (BCDC), a non-profit organization, has moved into their new office and Board
of Directors is grateful to the Town of Browning for providing the space and utilities. The office is in the new addition to City Hall.
Since receiving their tax-exempt status, the corporation's executive director has been busy writing grants to fund the
corporation's agenda of economic and social change in Browning and the surrounding Reservation communities.
One of the first items on that agenda is securing
a permanent home. To that end BCDC is negotiating with Browning for the purchase of the old Riddle's building and the lot on which
it stands. If successful in purchasing the property, BCDC hopes to convert the dilapidated building into a community development
center complete with all of the tools necessary for economic and social development.
The NxLevel Business Training course will be completed, with the participants graduating on June 9. The class started nearly three
months ago and the students have been working hard on their small business ideas and plans. BCDC meets the third Wednesday
of every month at 6:30 p.m. at Browning City Hall. The public is invited to the next BCDC meeting on June 15. Please call 338-4015
if you have any questions.
